Just like last your I went to The Lake Cabin near Erm for the weekend to spend some time with my colleagues. Of course I took my velomobile for a ride that way, it's only about 67 kilometers. The speed was quite good (average of 29.8 km/h) so after 2 hours and 20 minutes I arrived at the known location. Quickly secured the bike, took a shower and waited for the BBQ to start. And what better way to kill some time to take some nice pictures. This time I was experimenting with long-exposure-photos. And the result is pretty good, just like the BBQ. Yummy hamburgers, sausages and other pieces of meat, together with different salads and sauces made this meal very good.

After the meal and talking to my fellow workers I decided half past eleven would be a good time to go to bed. Much to early according to some, but they covered the distance by car. That way they were much less tired. That, in combination with alcohol and loud music kept me awake for about 1.5 hours (just like last year). So around one 'o clock I got fed up with it and got me some earplugs. Man, what an invention. Around five in the morning I received a very loud message on my phone that there was a problem with the website of one of hour customers (I had the 24/7 stand-by shift), luckily that problem was easily fixed so I could sleep out until 10.

After breakfast came the best part of the weekend... the mountain-biking. First went to the rental place to get a helmet. Seeing that I already own a helmet (which probably fits better that those rented things) I used my own. Also the fact that I brought my helmet-camera was a good reason to use it. Picked out a bike and we were ready to rock! Well, it didn't go that fast, but that's okay. That way you have more time to enjoy the scenery. Just above North-Sleen we arrived close to the Kibbelkoele where we cycled the woods. I can tell you lot's more about it, but It's much more fun to show you in the movie below.

When all the mud was dried up I joined a colleague and we drove to a few geocaches nearby. First two traditional caches and in the end a multi-cache which was near the Ermerstrand (where we slept). For a minute we had a problem at WP2 (waypoint), but after some clever thinking we finally arrived at the end-coordinates. There I accidentally stumbled on the end-cache... I pretty much stood on it. The coin which I already had in my possession was dropped and the logbook was signed. After that, back to the cabin for dinner, which a couple of colleagues had prepared. All in a Chinese setting, with soup, nasi/bami, hot eggs, et cetera. And for desert different kinds of chocolate and cake. In short... nothing wrong with that.

Then it was time to go home. I'd packed my stuff into my bike (or so I thought), but after only 2 minutes I realized I left my phone charging in the cabin. Turned around my bike and said goodbye for the second time. After that I cycled home with around 32.7 km/h. I left at a quarter past seven and I expected to arrive home around ten in the evening. I knew the road because I cycled it the day before, so that helps when cycling though the dark. I had to stop some times for a 'nature call' and since I was already standing still I took two more pretty long-exposure-photo's (take a look at the last to from the slideshow).
