Holiday in Wuppertal

Finally holiday! After working for two days last week I prepared myself for the trip to Wuppertal (Germany). Preparations means, doing some shopping, creating a route, uploading the maps to the GPS, getting things ready, lubricating the chain, mounting a new set of front tires and cleaning and polishing the bike. Besides that I lay down on the couch and relaxed.

Cycling with the Ketelbrothers

Last week I borrowed the Radical Design Cyclone Bicycle Trailer from Georg Dekkinga as preparation for my trip to Wuppertal (a week of Biblestudy in Germany with the subject: "A much better Covenant") and my participation in Euro Tour 2013. Last Saturday I packed up a few things (like my tent, sleeping gear and some clothes) in the trailer and cycled to my youngest brother Ewout in Stadskanaal. He is also going to Wuppertal and he is willing to bring this stuff.

New website

After some five years it became time to replace / move the website of my Bible study group. This had to do with the fact that we 'only' got 3 GB of storage space at our old provider, Antagonist. Because we create a 40 MB audio recording every two weeks we reached a point where the supplied space doesn't allow any more recordings. Otherwise I like the old provider (my middle brother also hosts his website there).

Bible study weekend Esbeek

Last weekend there was a Bible study weekend in the Southern part of The Netherlands. Just as two years ago I took my recumbent to cover the distance, but with a few differences. First of all there was the location. Last year it was in Maasbommel, now it was Esbeek. Resulting in a distance increase from 216 to 272 kilometers. Seeing that I now own a second recumbent (my velomobile), I could use it for this long trip. Two years ago I covered the distance with my Nazca Fuego which I had for only two months. Now I am more accustomed to long distances.
